Description
The Huron Island lighthouse stands atop the largest island of a small archipelago in Lake Superior about 3 miles off the south shore of the big lake and about 18 miles east of the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula. The light was constructed in 1868 and consists of a 1 1/2 story granite keeper's residence with an integrated square tower.
