Description
We didn't get far enough west on the Beagle Channel to see this lighthouse on our daytime excursion on the Beagle Channel and we were essentially pinned against the pier in Ushuaia until well after dark so I didn't get to see this light other than its flash as we sailed westward on the Beagle Channel around midnight.
The light stands on the Argentinian side of the border between Argentina and Chile on the north shore of the Beagle Channel. While I don't have a photo of this light, there is one on Flickr by Tony Galvez that can be accessed here.
The light is a cylindrical fiberglass tower, white with a single horizontal red band. The light's signature is a single white flash every 4 sec. This light replaces an older 26 foot tall tower at the same location.
