Description
The lighthouse on Seguin Island houses the only still operating 1st order Fresnel lens north of Rhode Island. The lighthouse is a conical granite tower topped by a black cast iron lantern room.
The light is very distantly visible from the road leading to Popham Beach. The photos posted were shot from that location with long telephoto lenses.
Long Reach Cruises in Bath (www.longreachcruises.com) offers charter and scheduled cruises that both view Seguin Island and land on the island to explore ashore. Call 888-538-6786.
