Description

A light was first exhibited from this location in 1848 and the present 89 foot brick tower was built in 1857. The lighthouse is located in what is now located in a county park with camping available. The grounds and museum are open for visitors; the tower is not open. The third order Fresnel lens from the tower was replace by a rotating optic; the lens can be viewed at the Huron City Museum in Huron City.
