Description
Another lighthouse built by Lt. George Gordon Meade (later General of Civil War fame). The University of Florida leases the structure and students of marine studies are housed there during studies. Four months of the year the island is completely off limits due to mating birds. The island is also home too many rattlesnakes (I have not seen one yet, but I make sure to make noise as I walk).
