Navesink Twin Lights are unique not only because of the two lights, but because of their interesting shape. The twin lights are connected by a long brick building and one light is square in shape, while the other is octagonal. Unlike many other lighthouses, it is free to climb to the top of one of the towers and to walk through its museum. There is a great view from the top of both the other tower as well as Gateway National Recreation Area, which is the site of Sandy Hook Light.
